School-Break Support
School-break support is provided in the family’s home and may include community outings based on the child’s needs, interests, and caregiver approval.Â
School-break support is available on weekdays when the child’s school is not in session, based on the ACPS and Charlottesville City Schools calendars. Care may be scheduled in blocks of 2 to 6 hours, depending on availability.
School-aged children with disabilities or diverse developmental needs whose families need dependable care when school is not in session. Designed for children who benefit from individualized support, predictable routines, and engaging activities that balance structure, exploration, and downtime.

School-Break Support fills those days with structure and fun: creative play, crafts, games and social activiies, organized around a predictable daily rhythm your child can count on. Support takes place in your home and can include community outings when appropriate. It's available on weekdays when school isn't in session, in 2- to 6-hour blocks, for school-aged children with disabilities and diverse developmental needs.
